The Catholic Diocese of Helsinki comprises the whole of Finland. Since 2023, it has been led by H. E. Msgr. Raimo Goyarrola, the Bishop of Helsinki. There are eight parishes and a fewer than 30 priests in the Diocese. There are ca. 17.500 registered members, but it is reasonable to estimate that the actual number of Catholics living in Finland is actually much highers, maybe by as much as 10,000. Of the registered Catholics, about 45 percent are native Finns, whereas the rest of the faithful come from all around the world.
The official languages of the Diocese of Helsinki are Finnish and Swedish (a small minority), but there are parish functions also in other languages.
