Children in school entitled to Catholic religion classes

All children belonging to the Catholic Church have a fundamental right to education in their own religion. Therefore, they do not need to attend the course given in the general religion or in ethics. The municipality must arrange for instructions in a pupil’s own religion when this teaching is requested by at least three pupils’ parents.

THUS, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS WHEN REGISTERING THEIR CHILD AS EARLY AS THE FIRST CLASS TO EXPRESS THEIR DESIRE FOR RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTIONS IN THE CATHOLIC RELIGION FOR THEIR CHILD.

This procedure is very important, since this (or equivalent) religious education is necessary for your children to be able to receive teaching in your own Catholic parish for First Communion and Confirmation.
